Three constables were killed and three others injured after a train hit a police van in Sitakunda upazilla of Chattogram on Sunday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased and injured could not be known yet.

The accident took place at Fakirhat Level Crossing in Solimpur union around 12:30pm.

Abu Syed, officer-in-charge (OC) (Investigation) of Sitakunda Police Station, confirmed the matter.
