Barguna: The committee of Pathargahta’s Kakchira organisational Thana unit of Chhatra League has been dissolved after two factions of the ruling party’s student wing locked in a clash in front of two MPs on Wednesday.
The order was confirmed through a press release signed by district Chhatra League president Rezaul Kabir Reza and general secretary Taufiqur Rahman Imran on Thursday.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting, it said.
On Wednesday, two factions of the organisation locked in a clash in front of Barguna-2 (Patharghata-Bamna-Betagi) Constituency MP Shawkat Hachanur Rahman Rimon and reserved seat MP Nadira Sultana where they attended in a programme marking the National Mourning Day and 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The clash left some people from the both of the factions injured who were admitted to Sher-e-bangla Medical College Hospital in Barishal.
Confirming the news, general secretary Taufiqur Rahman Imran said they took the decision as per the instruction of the central committee.
