A mobile court of Tea Board conducted drives in Panchagarh sadra upazila and fined 2 tea businesses, 3 factories Tk4 lakh for not having a valid license, using unregistered trademarks and false invoices, VAT evasion and buying tea from the black market.

Bangladesh Tea Board Deputy Secretary and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Ruhul Amin fined Mirpuri Tea Tk 50,000 while M/S  Bismillah Traders Tk 200,000 during the raid on Monday.

The mobile court also fined Uttara Green Tea Industries Ltd, Maitri Tea Industries Ltd, and North Bengal Central Tea Industries Ltd TK 50,000 each in separate drives on Sunday.

Bangladesh Tea Board Development Officer Amir Hossain, Senior Scientific Officer Saidul Haque and police of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station were present during the drives.
