Kazi Zafar Ahmed passes away

Former Prime Minister , also leader of a faction of Jatiya Party (JP) Kazi Zafar Ahmed breathed his last at United Hospital in capital on Thursday morning.
He was 76.
Jafar Ahmed had been taken to Dhaka’s United Hospital early on Thursday, after he had complaints of cardiac problems, according to Golam Mostafa, Jafar Ahmed’s personal assistant.
“The doctors pronounced him dead around 7:30am,” he said.
He had been suffering from kidney disease, diabetes and cardiac problems. Previously, he had his kidney transferred in Australia.
Kazi Zafar Ahmed had been a top leader of the 20-party alliance. During Hussain Mohammad Ershad’s government, he became the Prime Minister.
