Ambassador of Republic of Korea-ROK (South Korea) Park Young-sik paid his maiden call on Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen at Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday afternoon.

Foreign Minister Dr Momen warmly welcomed the Ambassador to his new appointment, says a press release.

He praised the Korean model of development that transformed Korea into a developed country in less than a generation and acknowledged this model as a source of inspiration for many countries like Bangladesh.

He referred to the recent boost in trade, commerce and investment between Bangladesh and Korea.

Dr Momen reiterated Bangladesh's foreign policy motto of 'friendship to all, malice towards none' and said Bangladesh followed this in her all diplomatic pursuits including the Indo-Pacific Outlook.

The foreign minister sought further collaboration with Korea to develop an export oriented economy. He assured the Ambassador to extend all possible cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh.
