Prime Minister's ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said all appointments for government jobs were allocated on the basis of bribery and political allegiance while no place for meritorious students during the last stint of BNP Jamaat, between 2001 and 2006.
"On impact, thousands of meritorious students did not get any job to serve their country despite holding excellent academic credentials," he wrote in a facebook post from his verified account on Monday.
Under the premiership of Sheikh Hasina, Awami League led government has ensured transparency and accountability in public service recruitment, turning it into a most sought after job opportunities for meritorious students, he added.
But in the past the system was hit by unbridled corruption, Joy said.
"Let's revisit the infamous saga of unprecedented corruption eating up recruitment process, curtsey of BNP Jamaat regime," he said along with uploading a video clip.
