Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said there is no chance to defer the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations scheduled to commence on August 17.
She also called upon protesting students to return home and concentrate on their lessons.
Dr Dipu Moni came up with this announcement at a time when a section of students in the capital and some other areas of the country has been demonstrating for the deferment of the upcoming HSC examinations.
The education minister also said all coaching centres of the country will remain closed from August 14 to September 25 in order to hold the HSC exams peacefully and free from copying and the rumour of question leakage.
