The government has extended the tenure of Dhaka WASA Managing Director Engineer Taqsem A Khan for three more years.

This is the sixth time that the tenure of WASA MD Taqsem has been extended.

To this effect, a notification signed by Local Government Division Deputy Secretary Mustafizur Rahman was issued on Thursday.

Earlier on July 11, the Dhaka WASA board sent a proposal to the local government, rural development and co-operatives ministry to keep Taqsem as MD for another term.

Taqsem has been holding his post since October 2009. His sixth term will end on October 14 this year.
