Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three people including the ameer of the newly formed militant outfit Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya from Munshiganj's Louhajang early Monday.

One of the arrestee has been identified as Md Anisur Rahman alias Mahmud, ameer of the militant group. The names of the other two are yet to be released.

Khandaker Al Moin, director, legal and media wing of Rab, confirmed the news.

Local and foreign firearms, bomb-making equipment, pamphlets, and cash were recovered from their possession, he said.
