The government has transferred 24 officials of superintendent of police (SP) rank to new posts in different districts, following a major reshuffle of the police administration.

The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday issued a circular in this regard.

The circular, signed by the division’s Senior Assistant Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, stated that the order would come into effect immediately.

Earlier on Sunday, 51 officers of DIG and additional DIG rank were transferred to new posts.
