CHATTOGRAM: Rotary Club of Chittagong Aristocrat held its first meeting of the new Rota year 2023-2024 in the port city recently.

The meeting was held at CMP Officers Club chaired by elected president-elect Rotarian Sadman Syka Sefa.

District General Nominee Dr Moinul Islam Mahmud inaugurated the meeting while District Governor Md Matiur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the programme.

District General Secretary Rotarian PP Md Abul Kalam Azad, Akbar Hossain and District Executive Secretary Shamsul Alam Ripon also attended the meeting.

Rotarian AMM Minhajul Haque recited from the Holy Quran and Rotarian Noman Bin Zahiruddin delivered an executive speech on the plan for the 2023-2024 Rota Year in the meeting.

District General Engineer Md Matiur Rahman, in his speech, praised the club and encouraged them to move forward while the District Nominee Dr Moinul Islam Mahmud also urged the club president to take initiatives to empower women and participate in women's rotary.

Club Chartered President Mostafa Asraful Islam Alvi, Past Presidents Advocate Zobayer Hossain Shibli, Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Md Kamal Hossain Jewel, Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, Engineer Md Imran, Md Monowarul Haque,  Dr Md Joynal Abedin Muhuri, Club Secretary Md Shamim Reza and Treasurer Mohammad Tareque Afsar were also present at the meeting among others.
