Police arrested five persons and recovered 200 grams of marijuana from their possession at Sardarpara village under Boda upazila of Panchagarh district on Saturday night.

The arrested were identified as Dulal, 55 Belal Hossain, 37, Titu Miah, 35, Rabiul Islam, 39, and Chandra Barmon 25.

Police said Dulal was a drug peddler and the four others were drug addicts.

Based on secret information, Boda Thana police raided Dulal's house and found Dulal selling ganja to the four drug addicts.

Police arrested them red-handed and produced them before a court. The court sent them to jail.

A case was filed with Boda Thana in this connection.
