MM Saiful Islam has joined as Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited.

Earlier, he was Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Corporate Investment at Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited.

Born in an aristocratic Muslim family at Bahadurpur village in Pangsha upazila under Rajbari in 1973, he obtained MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) under Dhaka University.  Later, he also completed graduation and post-graduation in financial planning from Centennial College in Toronto.

In 1998, he entered the service as senior officer in Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. In 25 hours of career, he worked for three renowned financial organisations. Being investment risk management expert, Saiful Islam performed important responsibilities in Bank Asia and  Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited.
