As e-passport uses the modern technology, it will increase its credibility and acceptance as well as the value and status of Bangladeshi passport in abroad.

He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for promoting Bangladesh passport as the first-class passport across the globe.

Remembering Bangabandhu and his martyred family members, Md Nurul Anwar said under this initiative, the process of immigration and passport for Bangladeshi expats have been easier and secured.

Earlier, Machine Readable Passport (MRP) was being used in Bangladesh High Commission in Australia. Information about e-passport will be available on Bangladesh High Commission website soon.
