Gold price drops by Tk 1,750 per bhori

Jewellers have lowered the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 96, 694 per bhori in the country.

The decision was made by the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) during a meeting held on Sunday.   

According to a press release signed by Committee Chairman MA Hannan Azad, the price of 22-carat gold has been revised to Tk 8,290 per gram, while 21-carat gold is now priced at Tk 7,915 per gram.

Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold has been set at Tk 6,785 per gram, and traditional gold is priced at Tk 5,655 per gram. These new rates will come into effect from Monday, as stated in the press release.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 147 per gram while 21-carat Tk 140 per gram and the price is Tk 120 per gram of 18-carat silver and Tk 90 for traditional one.          Furthermore, the price of silver has also been adjusted. The price of 22-carat silver stands at Tk 147 per gram, 21-carat silver at Tk 140 per gram, 18-carat silver at Tk 120 per gram, and traditional silver at Tk 90 per gram.
