Independent mayoral candidate Zaida Khatun, mother of Gazipur City former mayor Jahangir Alam, is now ahead as per the unofficial result of one centre named Rani Bilashmoni Government Boys High School in Gazipur City Corporation elections.  

According to media report, out of 1808 votes, Awami League candidate Azmat Ullah Khan got 293 votes, Zahida Khatun with symbol of ‘Table Clock’ bagged 532 votes.
