Some 231 members will work for the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) police unit in order to ensure security of the country’s the metro rail.
There will be three cadre posts and 228 non-cadre posts in the unit.
The notification was published on Wednesday (today) on the website of the Home ministry, according to a media report.
The government has given approval for the formation MRT police unit with a view to ensuring security of the metro rail in the capital.
Mentionable, the MRT police unit is being formed after five months of the inauguration of metro rail track in the country.
