Justice Jahangir Hossain of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court has called that the teachers and parents to be aware so that Bangladeshi students do not forget the country, the liberation war and the traditions of the roots even after being educated in modern higher education.
He made this urge by attending the closing ceremony of the annual cultural program of Sydney International School in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Friday. At that time, he said, the new generation has to work to advance Bangladesh in the global arena by combining technology.
He said that schools and families are the main areas of learning people's sense of moral judgment and humanity.
Therefore, even if the English medium educational institutions of the country are run on foreign curriculum, local traditions and culture should be taught there. And for this, the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs of the organization have to fulfil more responsibility.
Besides, Cambridge Assessment International Education Bangladesh Country Manager Shaheen Reza was present as guest of honour in that event. Attending that ceremony event, Shaheen Reza said that the co-curriculum activities of Sydney International School will help the students to become real people.
