Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury MP said, the country is being enriched and moving forward to the path of immense potential of art and culture.
The speaker said this while appearing as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of artist Laila Sharmin's 'twelfth solo painting exhibition' at Alliance Française in the capital on Saturday.
“The practice of art and culture is important in building a creative nation. Human society needs to be built to ensure a habitable world for future generations. Along with the progress of development, the role of artists in building a humane society is undeniable. Speaker urged everyone to work together in this process,” she added.
Various distinguished artists, individuals and media workers were present in the event.
