Pagla mosque in Kishoreganj earned 19 sacks of money from eight donation boxes on Saturday.
ATM Farhad Chowdhury, Kishoreganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), confirmed this information.
Earlier on January 7, the mosque collected Tk 18,16,744 from the donation boxes along with foreign currencies, gold and silver.
Money counting was underway on the second floor of the mosque. Total amount of money will be learnt later. Hundereds of madrasa students, many bank staffs, mosque committee members and members of law enforcement agencies have taken part in counting money.
Executive magistrate Md Sirajul Islam, Sheikh Jaber Ahmed and Sadiya Afrin, Assistant General Manager of Rupali Bank Rafikul Islam and administrative officer of the mosque Sawkat Uddin Bhuiyan were present during opening of the donation boxes.
