The country’s people must follow health advises to stay fit during the ongoing nationwide heat wave as the excessive hot weather may cause of various health complications, health experts said.

They said if people particularly elderly, children and patients with co morbidity follow the health rules then they will remain protected from the harmful effect of the heat wave.

The health experts have advised people to always drink room temperature water slowly and avoid drinking cold or ice water!

Like Bangladesh, various other countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and other countries are also currently experiencing a "heat wave."

The experts advised to follow the dos and don’ts--not to drink very cold water when the temperature reaches 40 ° C, as human small blood vessels may burst.

When the heat outdoors reaches 38 ° C and when anyone comes home, the person shouldn’t drink cold water - drink only warm water slowly.

People also shouldn’t wash hands or feet immediately, if they are exposed to the hot sun and they have to wait at least half an hour before washing or showering.

During the hot months or if anyone is very tired, the person should avoid drinking very cold water immediately, as it can cause the veins or blood vessels to narrow, which can lead to a stroke.
