Two women were killed and another person was injured in a knife attack at the Ismaili Centre in Portugal's capital city on Tuesday.
Lisbon Police shot the suspect, an Afghan refugee, after he refused to lay down his large knife-like weapon and even began to approach the authorities.
Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa referred to the act and said it looked like an isolated one.
Ismaili Centre, in Lisbon, is associated with the minority within the Shia Islam sect. The community's leader, Prince Karim Aga Khan, opened the centre in 1998 with prayer rooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, etc.

The alleged attacker's wife had died in a refugee camp in Greece, as per reports.
The leader of the Ismaili community, Nazim Ahmed, said both victims were Portuguese nationals who worked there. The minister mentioned the deceased women worked at the Ismaili Centre's refugee support programme.
