KOICA Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) in collaboration with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) organised a Tree Plantation event at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) on March 22.
About 500 trees were planted on the hospital grounds as part of a volunteer initiative for social responsibility, which will contribute to better overall health outcomes and have a big impact on the well being of NICVD's patients, visitors, and staff.
The Director of NICVD expressed his deepest gratitude to the government of Korea for the contribution in planting trees in the hospital.
Nasima Begum, President, KBAA & Member (Secretary), Planning Commission mentioned that Republic of Korea is a significant development partner in Bangladesh’s relentless strive to development and extends cooperation in various fields. She also highlighted that planting trees in hospital environments can be a cost-effective and sustainable way to promote healing and wellness.
Deputy Country Director of KOICA hoped that this meaningful event will help make this hospital and its surroundings more beautiful, provide a cleaner and healthier environment.
