Renowned actor and freedom fighter Khalekuzzaman died on Tuesday morning. He was 72.

He breathed his last at 11am at his residence at Gulshan in the capital.  

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the mosque in Kurmitola at 5pm.

Khalekuzzaman was born at Santahar in Bogura. He completed his masters in Drama and Fine Arts from Chittagong University. 

In 1975, he was enlisted as an actor in Bangladesh Television (BTV).
