International Inner Wheel club recently awarded four women in Dhaka for their outstanding contributions for the country marking the International Women’s Day.

The awardees are - actress Shimul Yousuf, lawyer Toufika Karimm, metrorail station controller Asma Akhtar and metro train operator Moriom Afiza, said a press release.

Inner Wheel Bangladesh District 345 chairman Dr Mallika Biswas was the chief guest while NTV chief news editor Zahirul Alam was special guest on the occasion.

Addressing the function, speakers emphaised on focusing self-dignity of women to strengthen own position in the society.
National representative Mohsena Reza was, among past presents of the organisation, also present on the occasion.
