National University (NU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Mashiur Rahman said the appeal of creative literature is eternal.
He made the comment while delivering his speech at Shaluk International Literary Conference-2023 at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Friday.
The eminent sociologist of the country said, "Prominent poets and writers from the home and abroad have come to Shaluq International Literary Conference. Let new aspects of literature come out from this conference. Let a new horizon of literature and culture be created”.
The two-day Shaluk International Literary Sammilan-2023 started on March 10 and will end on March 11.
More than five hundred poet, writers, translators, artists from Bangladesh, India and Nepal participated in the conference.
Notable among them is the former Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra Bharti University of Calcutta, India Dr Pobitra Sarkar, Prof. Anwara Syed Haq, Professor Akram Hossain, Nepal's eminent poet Sumon Pokhrel.
