The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) admission test will be held in the country on March 10 (Friday).
Some 1 lakh 39 thousand 217 candidates will appear in the test. Twelve candidates will contest for seat.
He said the admission test will be held following the admission policy of 2023 formulated by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
The test will begin at some 57 venues of 19 centres across the country from 10:00am to 11:00am with multiple choice questions (MCQ) of 100 marks.
Online applications for the admission test were received through Teletalk.
Some 1 lakh 39 thousand 217 candidates applied for the medical admission test. There are a total of 11,122 seats in some 108 medical colleges, including public and private. As per the account, some 12 candidates will vie for each seat, the health minister informed.
With a view to holding the test uninterrupted, peaceful and transparent, different committees were formed involving teachers, physicians, journalists and eminent personalities. In addition, separate committee was formed in order to equalise marks, the minister added.
