North South University (NSU) observed the National Mourning Day remembering the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and members of his family who were brutally murdered on Saturday.
A discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil was organized at the University premises on on that day. The national flag was hoisted at half-mast along with the raising of the black flag at the campus.
Benajir Ahmed, Past Chairman, Board of Trustees, North South University trust attended the discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil as the chief guest where Prof Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami, Vice Chancellor (IC), NSU presided over the session. Prof Dr Bijoy Sahoo, Executive Dean; Prof Dr Sharifuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Department of History and Philosophy and Prof Dr M Emdadul Haq, Director, Student Affairs were also present as the special guest.
Among others Deans and Chairs of different Schools and Departments, Faculty members, officials and the students attended the Doa Mahfil.
