An initiative has been taken to pay birth registration fees fixed by the government through Mobile Financial Service (MFS).

The decision will come into effect soon. As a result, people want to apply for birth registration can now pay through bKash, Rocket and Nagad. Apart from this, they can pay their fees through online banking.

Recently, the decision has been taken at a meeting presided over by the Secretary of Local Government Department Muhammad Ibrahim.

To stop harassment of applicants for the certificate, Governance Innovation Unit of PMO made 16 recommendations. The recommendations will be implemented, said  Office of the Registrar General.
