Prof Md Riad Hassan and Zannatul Ferdaus have been elected president and general secretary of the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University Teachers’ Association respectively for the next one year.

Chief election commissioner Associate Professor Kazi Md Shahiduzzaman declared the result after the election held at the conference room of the university campus in Mymensingh on Wednesday.

Other office bearers of the committee are vice-president Prof Dr Sushanta Kumar Sarker, joint secretary Asif Ekbal Arif, organizing secretary Md. Mazharul Hossain Tokder, treasurer Md. Reazul Islam, Education and research editor Tania Afrin Tonny, Sports and Cultural Affairs Secretary Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Office and Publicity Secretary Md. Tariful Islam, and executive memebers Dr Arifur Rahman, Tonny Shaha, Taj e Jannat Mim, Masudur Rahman, Debashish Bepary, Dr Zillur Rahman Paul.
