After more than two hours of disruption, the normal service on the Grameenphone network was restored across the country, according to the telecom officials.
Head of communications at Grameenphone Khairul Basher informed that the network was restored at 1:50pm after about two hours of disruption, which occured due to damage to fibre-optic cables during the construction work on roads in Gazipur, Tangail and Sirajganj.
Many GP customers posted on social media that they faced problems while sending SMS and making phone calls.
