At least five people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG run-auto-rickshaw in Maligari area of Khetlal upazila under Joypurhat District on Monday morning.

Two of the deceased were identified as Md Amjad, the driver of the auto-rickshaw, and passenger Shahinur Begum.

Confiming the news, Rezaul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Khetlal Police Station, said the accident occurred around 11:15am in the area.
