State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, who is on a two-day bilateral official visit to Eswatini, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Health of Eswatini Ms. Lizzy Nkosi in Mbabane on Tuesday (Feb 7), says a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
The Minister of Health said that the Covid pandemic has introduced new challenges for the countries. She showed interest in working with the Bangladesh government in Covid pandemic area as well as sharing knowledge with Bangladesh in health areas.
The Health Ministry officials of Eswatini briefed about the facilities and opportunities of pharmaceutical production that exist in Eswatini. The Health Minister invited Bangladeshi companies to establish production units in Eswatini.
The State Minister apprised the Eswatinian side about the achievements of the Bangladesh government in the health and pharmaceuticals sectors.
He said that Bangladesh exports pharmaceutical products to a large number of countries in the world.
He informed that Bangladesh has successfully coped with Covid pandemic situation.
