Journalist Ahsan Ullah laid to eternal rest at Azimpur graveyard

Journalist Ahsan Ullah, editor of the Daily Janata who died on Sunday, was laid to eternal rest at Azimpur graveyard after Zohr prayer today after his third namaj-e-janaza at the National Press Club. 

His first namaj-e-janaza was held at Beltala Mosque in West Shewrapa, Mirpur after Fazr prayer and second janaza was held at 11am on the Daily Janata office premises at Fakirapool. 

Managing director and chief editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Abul Kalam Azad, BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists president Omar Faroque and secretary general Dip Azad, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) president Sohel Haider Chowdhury, senior journalists Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, former chairman of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University Prof Anwarul Karim, Daily Janata publisher Syed Md. Atiqul Hasan, president of a faction of BFUJ M Abdullah and general secretary of a faction of DUJ Md Shahidul Islam, among other, paid respect to journalist Ahsan Ullah and participated in the Janaza at the press club.  

National Press Club president Farida Yasmin, general secretary Shayamal Dutta and Bangladesh Journalists' Welfare Trust managing director Shuvash Chanda Badol also paid respect to Ahsan Ullah at the press club.

Journalist Ahsan Ullah breathed his last at National Heart Foundation Hospital on Sunday evening at the age of 81.
