Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit on Monday submitted a memorandum to the university authority with nine-point demands including renovation of various roads and controling speed limit of vehicles inside the campus.
Leaders and activists of BCL Jahangirnagar University unit led by its president Akhtaruzzaman Sohel and General Secretary Habibur Rahman Liton submitted the memorandum to the university Vice Chancellor Prof Dr NurulAlam at his office about 12 pm.
JU BCL President AkhtaruzzamanSohel said, "We have given nine-point demands to the university administration including road renovation and safety of the campus. All demands are related to general students and other stakeholders of the university. The authorities also agreed with our demands. They promised to implement the demands. We will take more stringent action if our demand for safe campus safety is not implemented."
JU BCL General Secretary Habibur Rahman Liton said, "The university administration has assured to implement our demands. They asked us for time. We will allow time for demands that take time to process. However, we want other demands to be implemented on an urgent basis. We hope the university administration will solve the problem soon."
