A collection of contemporary prose edited by Ahmed Tahsin Shams styled ‘The Butterfly Effect’ hit Amar Ekushey Book Fair began on Wednesday.
The book with a cover art of Madhubanti Raya published in banner published by Blank Voices (Bangladesh) in partnership with Amazon Books and Lulu Press Inc.
The young editor, Shams is an assistant professor in department of English at Notre Dame University Bangladesh.
“In the first chapter, “Verses,” contemporary poets from the USA, Italy, Albania, Poland, Canada, Trinidad, Netherlands, Costa Rica, Taiwan, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Spain, India, and Bangladesh contributed,” Shams told Daily Sun.
The editor mentioned that second chapter of this anthology, ‘Voices’,” features prose from Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and Albania.
“In ‘Vision’, the third chapter of this book, the fine arts like painting, art installation, mixed media art, and sculpture artworks from Bangladesh and the UK have been featured. In the final chapter of this creative anthology—“Visuals”— photo artworks and photo stories from Bangladesh are promoted, representing the youthful experimental work in visual arts,” he said.
Writer Shams is the founder and director of Avant-garde Productions and Editor of Blank Voices. On his recent multiple successful ventures in USA includes —‘A Tale of Night Flowers’ released on Amazon Prime Video, ‘Arshinagar (Reflection)’ screened in 28 foreign film festivals; another edited book publication: ‘The Myriad of Meanings in Literary Culture Studies’.
