The country’s potential jewellery industry is going to have a gateway to international market.
Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is working relentlessly to give the sector a global fit.
Jewellers across the country have been united under an umbrella as envisaged by BAJUS President, he said speaking as the chief guest.
“Our President (BAJUS President) has underscored need for concerted effort to foster advancement of jewellery industry. The view exchange meetings with the district units are taking place in furtherance of his directive. He keeps abreast of happenings in the districts. Led by Sayem Sobhan Anvir, BAJUS will hold a view exchange meeting in Dhaka very soon. The presidents and general secretaries of grassroots will be present.”
Repnul Hasan, BAJUS executive member and member secretary of Standing Committee on Law and membership, said “Sayem Sobhan Anvir is the first to be sincere President of the organisation. He wants the jewellers to work in harmony to harness untapped potentials of the industry.”
About principle of equality, he said BAJUS President has placed small jewellers on par with large traders focusing on their dignified business.
Pabitra Chandra Ghose, member of BAJUS executive committee as well as Standing Committee on District Monitoring, said BAJUS has turned one of the strong organisations in the country.
Presided over by Naogaon unit president Abu Sayed, the view exchange meeting was attended by its general secretary Shafikul Islam Raju and leaders of Bogura, Rajshashi and Joypurhat.
