DHAKA - Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock at the death of party's Chattogram South district unit advisory council member and former joint-general secretary Shamsul Haque.

In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Shamsul Haque died at a hospital in Chattogram this afternoon at the age of 76.

He is survived by wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers.
