The severity of cold has increased in the border district of Panchagarh. Although the fog has declined a bit, the mercury is gradually falling in the cold air. The temperature has dropped by 2 degrees Celsius in a day.
Country’s lowest temperature was recorded at 8.7 degree Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh on Friday. This is the lowest temperature in Panchagarh this season.
According to weathermen, mild cold wave may persist in three districts, including Panchagarh for three more days. Cold will increase further in the next week. That time, mild to cold wave will flow through few more areas.
Meanwhile, due to dense fog, the normal passage is being disrupted on Daulatdia in Golanda of Rajbari and Paturia in Manikganj's Shivalaya.
Numerous vehicles coming for the ferry are stuck for hours on both sides of the Padma river. Due to this, the ferry service was stopped for about 25 hours in the waterway due to dense fog for five days.
