Right2 Grow project of Save the Children has unveiled its advocacy framework and guideline to work for ensuring under nutrition of children in coastal areas of the country.
Government officials, and other stakeholders like UNICEF, CARE, GAIN, local government representatives like Union Parishad (UP)chairmen, UP secretary, civil society organizations, CSA for SUN Bangladesh, Right to Food Network Bangladesh and Cordaid, were among others present there.
Dr. Mohammad Sher Ali, Additional Secretary of Local Government Division at the LGRD&C ministry attended the programme as chief guest at the event.
Tushar Mohon Sadhu Khan, Additional Chief Engineer of Department of Public Health Engineering; Dr. Md M. Islam Bulbul, Line Director (Acting) of National Nutrition Services at the DGHS; and Reefat Bin Sattar, Country Director (Acting) of Save the Children in Bangladesh attended as special guests.
The Chairperson of the Country Steering Committee-Right2Grow consortium Engr. Imam Mahmud Riad chaired the event. The Event was facilitated by Save the Children International, which is responsible for the overall coordination of the lobby and advocacy of Right2Grow project.
Right2Grow project is working for every child to be able to reach their full potential its long-term goal is for all children under 5 to be well nourished. In the continuation, the book Bridge4Voices Advocacy framework and Guideline has been published.
Right2Grow project consortium Bangladesh is working to reduce child undernutrition in coastal area. The project is advocating “Create/increase budget provision in Union Parishad (UP) for reducing undernutrition among children under5”.
