Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has assured that no jeweller will be exposed to harassment by any member of law enforcement agency.

He made the assurance as a delegation of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) met him at his residence in the capital Monday night.

The minister came up with the remark hours after an incident of misunderstanding between a group of jewellery traders and police in Sylhet.

Former BAJUS presidents Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, Enamul Haque Khan Dolan, vice-presidents Gulzar Ahmed, Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin, adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel and executive committee member Ripnul Hasan were present.
