Veteran Indian actor Vikram Gokhale, who was admitted to Pune's Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital a few days ago, is showing signs of improvement. Since a couple of days, the actor hadn't been responding to the treatment as expected, and Gokhale's family had said that the doctors are trying their best.

On Friday morning, Shirish Yadgikar, PRO of the hospital, shared an update on the actor's condition. “Mr Vikram Gokhale is showing slow but steady signs of improvement. He is opening his eyes, and there's some movement in his limbs. We hope (if the improvement continues) he'll be off the ventilator support in the next 48 hours. Plus, his blood pressure and heart rate is stable too.”

Gokhale is known for his performances in Hindi and Marathi films. He received a National Award as best actor for his Marathi film Anumati.

A couple of days ago, rumours about his demise had been doing the rounds and many celebrities even shared condolences on social media. However, Gokhale's family soon issued a statement that while he was critical, he is still alive.
