Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Saturday that their Tests and ODIs head coach Russell Domingo was found dengue negative on Saturday.
Members of team management were quite unsure about the availability of Domingo in the upcoming home series against India comprising of three ODIs and two Tests, scheduled from December 4.
However, he missed his scheduled visit to BKSP on November 16 to witness a game of the National Cricket League, the country’s traditional first-class tournament, due to having a fever.
A top BCB official was quite scared as Domingo was carrying the fever since November 15 and it forced the medical team to advise him for a dengue test on Saturday considering the fact dengue is on rise in the country.
“He (Domingo) was negative in the dengue test and we feel he is carrying the fever due to his jet lag,” a BCB official told The Daily Sun after obtaining the test report on Saturday.
