State Minister for the ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said film is a powerful medium for social change as films can make the citizens of the society aware of various topics apart from providing healthy entertainment.
"Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is building 13 cinema halls in Bangladesh to screen movies and cineplex will be inaugurated in Rajshahi within this year. The remaining 12 cinema halls will be constructed by 2025. Besides, the production of a film titled 'Antarjal' is nearing completion as one of the initiatives from the ICT Division to make the cyber world safe and raise awareness among the citizens," he said.
Palak said the young people of Bangladesh are doing great in the film arena, adding, "They are taking the entire Bangladesh to the global stage which is really a matter of pride for us. Our youths will build a progressive non-communal Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu and that journey has only just begun."
The state minister thanked the director of "Operation Sundarban" Dipankar Dipon and all of its actors and said, "We want our youths to win the hearts of the people of our country with their creativity and talent, to provide healthy entertainment, to make the society a progressive non-communal Bangladesh and let our art, literature and cinema conquer the world."
