Business establishment fined TK 3 lakh in Natore for manufacturing adulterated jaggery

A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive, in Natore realized Taka 3 lakh as fine from the owner of M/S Sagar trader for manufacturing adulterated jaggery (Gur) including various irregularities in Lalpur upazila of the district today.

Sources concerned said the team led by assistant director of DNCRP in Natore Md. Mehdi Hasan Tanver conducted the drive at M/S Sagar trader and fined Taka 3 lakh for manufacturing adulterated jaggery and violating hygiene rules at Balitita Islampur market of the upazila.

The business establishment was fined for various irregularities and violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted the operation team.

The drive would be continued in the district, Mehdi Hasan added.
