The construction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has been going on for a long time on the road from Gazipur part of Dhaka Mymensingh road to the Airport! Due to which the passengers traveling on this road have to be stuck in traffic for a long time.

As Savar, Ashulia, Tongi and Gazipur are industrial areas, every day many people use this road from Dhaka city to commute to their workplace.

Last six months ago, the road from Uttara Sector 15 Bridge (adjacent to DPS STS School, Sector 15) to the new BGMEA building (Sector 15), World University and Shanta Mariam University to Metrorail Station No. 03 was pitched. - Lakhs of vehicles now ply the said road (Sector 15 Uttara - BGMEA Bhavan - Metrorail No. 3 Station - DOHS Mirpur Road) to avoid traffic congestion on Mahakhali Road. As a result of this new road, the traffic jam on Airport Road and the suffering of regular commuters will be reduced to some extent. At present, the residents of Mirpur, Sheorapara, Kazipara, Pallabi, Mohammadpur and adjoining areas use this road to come and go to Uttara, Ashulia, Tongi and Gazipur areas. Also, many students of Maritime University of Mirpur, MIST and Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), Mirpur Cantonment School and College travel on this road.

At present, only 1.5 km of this road from Mirpur DOHS, Mirpur Cantonment and Cantonment Officers Quarter to the junction of 5 roads to Metro Rail Station No. 3 (the road under Metro Rail) is unpaved and the unpaved road is unfit for traffic. A huge number of vehicles ply on this road every day to avoid the airport road congestion. Apart from this, the traffic on this road has increased at a great rate in recent times. This 1.5 km road up to Mirpur DOHS-Metrorail Station No. 3 needs to be urgently repaired and rehabilitated to alleviate the public grievances.

The oblations have expressed an exigent request for urgent renovation and repair of this unpaved road from Mirpur DOHS to station number 03 of Metrorail.
