Sayum, Nuruzzaman share lead after 2nd round in BPGA Open

Mohammad Sayum and Md Nuruzzaman jointly shared the top position after the end of the second round of the domestic golf event, ‘BPGA Open 2022’ at the Kurmitola Golf Club in the capital on Tuesday.

Both the golfers finished the second round with a score of 69 and are currently leading the points table with a score of minus six (-6).

Jakir Uzzaman and Nazim Hossain are in the third place with a score of minus three (-3) while Dulal Hossain and Liton Miah are in the fifth place with a score of minus two (-2).

Among 90 golfers (78 professional and 12 leading amateurs), who are taking in the tournament, 45 players will get the cut for the next two rounds. Among the qualified players, three of them are amateurs.

The third round will take place today (September 28) at the same venue.

Siddikur Rahman along with five other leading professionals of Bangladesh could not attend the event due to their ongoing engagement in international tours.

AKH Group Managing Director Shamsul Haque, who is also a very enthusiastic amateur golfer and committed to the development of professional golf in Bangladesh, is patronising the BPGA Open 2022.
