A fire incident took place at a tin shed restaurant named 'Khawar Adda' of a two storey building at Bijoynagar of Paltan in the capital on Wednesday, reports our correspondent. 

Eleven firefighting units from Siddique Bazar Fire Service and Civil Defence responded to the blaze at 6:40pm and responders were trying to bring the flames under control till the filing of this report.

The fire broke out at the restaurant near Hotel 71 in Bijoynagar around 6:30pm, Md Shahjahan Shikdar, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed.
