Russian multimodal transport operator Ruscon, a division of Delo Group, launched a container service from Japan to Kazakhstan through the Vostochny Port in August, reports Interfax.
Delo Group, which is owned by Sergei Shishkarev and state corporation Rosatom, said that cargo is delivered by ship from the port of Kobe, Japan to the Vostochny Port, then by railway to the Almaty-1 station in Kazakhstan. Departures are once a month.
"The development of transportation with Southeast Asia is undoubtedly one of the highest priorities of the Group. Considering the interest in the expansion of territories of presence and development of new routes, we plan to concentrate our efforts to create in the region the optimal and high-quality customer services," the company's first vice president, Andrei Chernyshev, said the press release.
