Bangladesh national women’s football team is likely to play two international friendlies against UAE counterparts ahead of their upcoming campaign for the SAFF Women’s Championship.
The Bangladesh Football Federation Women’s Wing Chief Mahfuza Akter Kiron told The Daily Sun on Monday that UAE verbally agreed to play friendlies in Bangladesh but they were waiting for written confirmation.
As the Bangabandhu National Stadium is under construction, the BFF will try to hold the matches at either Bashundhara Sports Complex or Kamalapur.
The sixth edition of the SAFF Women’s Championship will take place on September 6-19 in Nepal. Seven teams – split into two groups – will take part in the meet.
